Aerofoam Industries was proud to assist the Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation in anticipation of the 2019 Paris Air Show. Aerofoam was given the wonderful opportunity to redevelop the cushions, dress covers, and plastic components for the SpaceJet 100 cabin mockup.
One of the main highlights of the new seat design are the dress covers. Presented with an all new black and white bespoke design the Aerofoam development team created patterns and were able to provide MAC with a truly wrinkle-free dress cover. Utilizing Aerofoam’s proprietary aircraft seat lamination process and Luxaire synthetic leather from Douglass Interior Products, the seat sprang to life.
Aerofoam maintains a team of expert pattern designers and highly skilled upholsterers to further our research and development capabilities. These team members are able to create patterns and covers from a past design, mockup, render, or simply an idea. Together with Aerofoam’s engineering department Aerofoam Industries was able to transform the SpaceJet 100 cabin into the captivating design envisioned by Mitsubishi.
The seats for the SpaceJet 100 inspire a feeling of progress and innovation coinciding with the aircrafts forward thinking name. Earlier this week, The Points Guy news team stationed at the Paris Air Show shot a video walkthrough with an accompanying story showcasing the SpaceJet 100 cabin’s comfort, precision, and quality.
