AF01010004 is a medium density polyurethane based, graphite aviation foam, suitable for use without fireblocking in commercial aerospace interiors. The whole range of the Aerofoam Comfort Foam Series are high resilient and less prone to shearing than conventional foams. Aerofoam cushions are never molded and as a result much more predictable and comfortable.
AF01010004 meets the requirements of CFR 25.853 part 1, the 12 second vertical burn and CFR 25.853 part 2, the seat oil burn or Kerosene burn test as standard without the use of a fireblocking layer.
In the AF Comfort Series AF01010004 is a semi-firm higher density foam. AF010100054 is frequently used as a supporting layer for seat backs and bottom cushions. Along with the rest of the Comfort Series, AF01010004 is able to be laminated to a dress cover material when a firmer feel is required. This foam is extremely lightweight for its higher density and when compared to conventional counterparts AF01010004 far exceeds them in terms of comfort, resilience, and strength.
